Host Family Orientation |
Mandatory event for ALL CCP FAMILIES !! This years host family orientation meeting will be held at the
Petaluma United Methodist
Church's (5th & D Sts, Petaluma) meeting room (this is the same location we used last year for this meeting). This where you come to meet others
involved in the program, have questions answered, and obtain your CCP HOST FAMILY PACKET !! (a plethora of valuable information and you will find
yourself turning to this regularly). Your host family packet also contains a list of all CCP families, calendar of events, ideas of what to do, and
much, much more !! |

We are offering three different evenings to accommodate people’s schedules. You are welcome to attend all three classes, or as many as fit into
your schedule. The more you attend, the better prepared you will be. All three classes will be held in the meeting room at the United Methodist Church (5th
& D Sts, Petaluma) Lessons will be approximately 1 to 1 ˝ hrs.

Children Arrive !! |
The children arrive on Thursday, June 26rd at 7:55PM - United Airlines Flight # 927 (International Terminal G). Please check your emails often on the
days leading up to arrival. That is how we will alert you of any last minute airline changes or problems. We will meet at SFO in the International, please
look for the CCP sign and balloons in the main hall waiting area. If you can, please park in International garage “G”.
You must be there 1 hour prior to arrival (6:55PM). Please check in with Mike Owens (or Rosey Erickson) upon arrival and before you leave. |

Welcome Picnic |
Mandatory event for ALL CCP FAMILIES !! The welcome potluck picnic will be held two days after the children arrive on Sunday at 1pm in
McNear Park, Petaluma. This is a time where Belarusian kids get to see their friends again, all families get to socialize, and Belarusian kids get
to fill shopping bags with gently used clothing. (If you have any to donate, please bring them !!) This is also a terrific opportunity to make use
of the interpreters and learn about your visitor !! |

Doubletree Swim Party |
Double Tree Hotel, Rohnert Park. This is the second year they have graciously invited our group to swim at their hotel for the afternoon. Please eat
lunch BEFORE you arrive and limit any snacks and drinks you bring to the pool area (No glass containers, please). Double tree will provide their towels.

Birkenstock Picnic |
Every year Birkenstock USA generously provides a picnic lunch for all our CCP families and some sort of "goodie bag" for our Belarusian kids. This
is truly a great opportunity, however not mandatory. Details will follow in your host family packet.

Discovery Animal Kingdom (Marine World) Trip |
A day of fun sponsored by Bechtel. All you have to pay for is parking.
Bechtel pays admission for all your family and provides a nice lunch, too !!
If you cannot attend, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to find another host family who is willing to take your Belarusian visitor ... this is something we'd
hate for them to miss out on. Thank You Bechtel !!

CCP Yard Sale |
Location tentatively set for St. Vincent’s Church Park Area, Howard St, Petaluma. This is something new CCP is trying this year. We will bring
all unclaimed clothing from the 6/29 Welcome Picnic and we encourage you to bring anything from your “Spring Cleaning” that would sell. This fundraiser
is designed to assist with the costs of the returning children. Funds will be equally shared by those families that donate their time and work this event.
Further details will be coming, please keep checking back. |

Hawaiian Luau, BBQ and Swim Party |
Held at the home of Ken McCoy in Cotati. This is also the second year Ken McCoy, a member of the Cotati Rotary Club, has opened his lovely home up
to our CCP families for another fun day of swimming in his Hawaiian Tiki backyard pool. He will also be serving a BBQ lunch to our CCP families.

Angel Island |
Marin Rotary has offered to host a day on Angel Island and picnic lunch for everyone who signs up. They will cover the ferry ride tickets for the
Belarusian visitors, and lunch for everyone. This will prove to be a fabulous day on the bay and on the island for the mere price of your families’ ferry
tickets (minus your Belarusian child’s).

Berkeley Eye Exams |
See your host family packets for important details about this event. The eye exams are for all new children and returning children with glasses. |
August 2, 5-9pm |
Pasta Dinner & Talent Show |
Pasta Dinner/Talent Show/Farewell Event will be at Liberty Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. (This is a Mandatory event for ALL CCP FAMILIES!!)
Plan to bring your whole family for a very affordable pasta dinner and a terrific show, featuring your kids !! That's right ... we encourage all CCP families
to get involved. The Belarusian kids will be performing and we encourage your children to "get in their acts", so to speak. (There is a rule that no all
American only acts are allowed - this is a chance for the Belarusian kids to "thank us" with their talent, and that of their new American family's.)
Please check with the interpreters at your earliest convenience to find out what you can do in the show !!!
(We request that ALL families bring a Dessert to the event)
Please Note: While we would like it to be free, we do need to
charge a small fee to attend this event.
$8.00 p/person, not to exceed $30.00 p/family

Children Depart |
The children depart on Tuesday, August 5th at 7:55AM. There flight (United Flight # 914) back home stops in Virginia so they will be
departing
from the United domestic Terminal #3. Please check your emails often on the days leading up to arrival, this is how we will alert you of any
last minute airline changes or problems.
You must be there 2.5 hours prior to departure (5:30AM). You must check in with CCP Board
Member, Mike Owens at the airport when you arrive. |
